  Understand the cultural values, communication styles, and social norms unique to Aotearoa to support effective interactions with residents, whānau, and colleagues.

• Transitioning to Autonomous Nursing Practice in New Zealand
  Explore the expectations of Registered Nurses in NZ, including decision-making responsibilities and the role of clinical judgment in aged care settings.

• Direction and Delegation
  Learn how to appropriately delegate tasks, supervise healthcare assistants, and maintain safe and legal nursing practice under NCNZ guidelines.

• Ngā Paerewa – Setting the Standard
  Gain an in-depth understanding of New Zealand's Health and Disability Services Standards (NZS 8134:2021), and your role in meeting audit and quality requirements.

• Nursing Documentation Requirements in Aged Residential Care
  Master the essentials of professional, accurate, and legally compliant documentation, including interRAI assessments, progress notes, and care planning.

• ARC Overview
  Explore the structure, funding, and purpose of Aged Residential Care in NZ, including the different levels of care and the resident journey.

• Cultural Safety – An Overview
  Understand the principles of cultural safety, including power dynamics, bias awareness, and how to create inclusive care environments.

• Cultural Considerations
  Deepen your understanding of Māori and Pacific health perspectives, and how to provide person-centred, culturally aligned care.
