Melanie Eady RN
Clinical Education Director - OSCE Preparation
Melanie completed her Comprehensive Nurse training in 1988. With a diverse background, Melanie has seamlessly transitioned through roles ranging from Hospital Surgical Nursing to Aged Care. Her expertise extends to Nurse Educator roles for IMAC, where she contributed to mass vaccination events in Auckland during the COVID-19 pandemic for Auckland DHB. Adding to her dynamic career, Melanie has also dedicated time to the Cadrona and Treble Cone ski fields, serving as a Triage and ED nurse.
Melanie is LEC's Clinical Education Director - OSCE Preparation, providing comprehensive support and training to OSCE candidates. Melanie has extensive experience in OSCE having been LEC's Clinical Quality Manager during CAP, supporting candidates during their placements and testing and contributing to LEC's CAP and OSCE content development. Melanie is also a qualified Oxford Brookes OSCE Trainer.
Her wealth of experience and commitment to nursing education makes Melanie an invaluable asset to both LEC and the broader healthcare community. Melanie always goes the extra mile for her candidates to ensure they are successful.

Bridgette Mackie RN DipN
Enrolled Nurse CAP Clinical Tutor
Bridgette brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Contract Enrolled Nurse (EN) Tutor, having played a pivotal role in the delivery of Competency Assessment Programmes (CAP) during their peak demand. As former Operations Manager at Lonsdale Education Centre, she was instrumental in overseeing the coordination and successful delivery of CAP courses to internationally qualified nurses preparing for registration in New Zealand.
With a strong background in nursing education and operational leadership, Bridgette has seamlessly transitioned to support the evolving needs of the sector. Since the Nursing Council of New Zealand introduced the OSCE as the new registration pathway, she has continued to contribute to nursing education through her focused work as an EN CAP tutor. Passionate about supporting nurses in their professional journey, Bridgette remains committed to ensuring that internationally qualified nurses are well-prepared to deliver safe, competent, and culturally responsive care in Aotearoa.
